Rescue Me ID: 15-09-10-00431Riley (male)
We recused Riley 2 years ago from Great Pyr rescue NW. We knew he had issues when we took him. He seemed to settle in and was only aggressive with certain people who came to the house so we kept him shut in when we weren't sure how he'd act. got along fine except for an occasional outburst from Riley. It was as if he had PTSD, he'd be sleeping and suddenly wake up growling and attack the other dog. We got so we could anticpate his attacks by waking him up before he got to his 'red zone'. This July my husband died and ever since thence has gotten worse and worse, to the point that I now have to keep them separate in the house. The last incident was last week, he attacked the other dog that is only 70 lbs and Riley is 120lbs. when I tried to pull Riley off he pulled me down and sprained my shoulder. He also tore the other dog's leg open. It needed stitches and a drain, $400 dollars to the Vet. At this point I am very stressed by the whole situation, I'm trying to take care of all the Estate things and get the house ready for sale. Plus since my husbands death my income has dropped a LOT! It feels like Riley thinks the 'pack leader' is gone so he is now the pack leader. Riley ignores me unless I'm feeding him. On that note he has never been food aggressive. I will be selling the house soon and moving into a much smaller place, possibly a Senior Apt, I think they will allow Riley even if I did want to keep him. I desperately want him to get a home, I don't want it to come down to taking him to a HS shelter and risk his life. When his a 'good' boy he can be very loving. He loves belly rubs and getting his head and chin petted. He has never got on the furniture, even though we never stopped him. HELP PLEASE. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-09-08-00798Bo (male)
'Bo' is a Great Pyrenees neutered male that we rescued in 2013; he's approximately 7-8 years of age and weighs 118 lbs. He has proven to be an excellent working dog, living with alpacas most of his life. He had his annual wellness check at the Animal Hospital of Pasco (AHOP) on August 18, 2015, including his rabies vaccination and DA2P/CPV shot. Documentation of such will be provided to the new owner. He was most recently groomed on August 28, 2015 at Petsmart. Bo 'loves his lovin's' i.e. hugs, scratching, brushing, etc., and will bond with owners when treated daily to lots of hands-on attention and love. He's a 'big teddy bear' with a great heart; kindness goes a long way. Applicants will be screened to ensure Bo's health and well-being. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-26-00411Maggie (female)
4 year old English Mastiff & Great Pyrenees. Rabies vaccination isn't due for 2 more years. Distemper/parvo vaccination is due this month. She weighs about 140 lbs. She's insecure and is very skittish- she's afraid of her own shadow! She's aggressive because of her fear. A year ago she bit a neighbor's dog and nipped at a child. She's not sure about strangers, but is good with us. She's been through professional training 2 years ago, but it seems it didn't stay with her. She needs an owner who can work with her on socializing her and getting her trained more. She does not like children, and needs an adult-only home. She lives with another dog, but doesn't like strange dogs. Please call if you're interested in her. We want to find the perfect home for her. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-27-00366George (male)
George would absolutely love to be in a fairly active home with an older dog his size. George does not like car rides so getting him into the car is a trick -- he'd prefer to walk everywhere. George is pretty camera shy as you can see but that's because he's so busy running around. You'd never guess his age if you met him! He's a sweet healthy boy looking for a home of his own. Please tell us about yourself when you request an application.
