|Rescue Me ID: 14-09-16-00736Bourbon (male)|
Well, hello hello! My name is Bourbon and I am a BIG goofball. Really, I'm a big boy of about 90 pounds, but I'm on a diet with a goal weight of 75 or 80 pounds. My mix is a bit of a mystery, but I'm just a great dog all around. Because of my size, I walk around with my chest puffed up as if I'm the big man on campus, but I get along well with all my dog friends and LOVE all my humans. I'm about 8 years old, but I'm still quite full of life and a touch of spunk. I'll make a great and loyal companion for my next owner. I was a stray many years ago and was fortunate enough to cross paths with a nice Corridor volunteer that literally saved my life. I was in terrible condition, bald and sickly. I healed up nicely with some love, attention and medicine. I was quickly snapped up by my loving owner and her dog and we made a fine trio. Recently our Mom passed away and my extended family couldn't take us in, so Corridor Rescue stepped in again to take care of us. I am currently in boarding, but I'm an easy going, big bubba that loves life, so I'm just pretending this is a vacation until I meet my new family. The best way to describe my personality is silly, carefree and bouncy. I like to trot around the play yard showing off my goofy grin and floppy tongue. I've been told that I'm pretty entertaining, even though I'm not really trying. This is just who I am...and apparently I am funny! I'm affectionate too and if there's room on the couch, I'd love to join you up there. I love a good back scratch and will give kisses to anyone that asks for those. Although I'm a larger kiddo, I will adapt to whatever living area you have as long as there is a little yard for me. I don't need a huge space because I'm not a fast moving fella; just need enough room to enjoy the outdoors and play with my friends. I'm healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. I've lived as a stray, I've lived as a pet and I know which life I want to continue. Please consider adopting me and having a big, happy bubba in your life every single day. Bourbon currently lives in Houston, Texas and is on the network for Seattle because we have amazing volunteers who live here to help coordinate successful out-of-state adoptions. Corridor Rescue has the very fortunate ability to transport dogs to other states via the United Airlines PetSafe program. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $150. The transport cost is $225, which includes the airline flight, a new pet travel kennel that you can keep upon arrival and the required health documents from the veterinarian. The grand total for adopting this pet including adoption fee and airline/transportation fee to the Seattle airport is $375. If you would like to adopt Bourbon, please fill out an adoption application at www.corridorrescue.org under the adoption tab. Please contact us at email@example.com with any questions. Thank you! |Rescue Me ID: 14-08-18-00613Rex (male)|
Rex is a beautiful Great Pyranees/ Retr mix. He came in to the high kill Texas shelter with an eye injury and was on the euth list immediately. We saved him just in the nick of time. His eye was infected and had to be removed, but it does not slow this boy down! He loves to go for walks, loves the dog park and is great with other dogs and children. Rex is young, under a year old, and very tall and lean, weighing in at about 60 pounds. He is neutered, current on vaccinations and on Heartworm preventatives. rex is the perfect dog for the Pacific Northwest-an outdoorsy guy who loves everyone he meets! As with all young dogs, continued socialization and training is a must. Please contact is for an app, I have a feeling Rex won't last long! Adoption fee $375 to cover airfare from TX. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-07-08-00080JEMMA JOY (female)|
This girl is BIG and getting bigger. She is absolutely stunning with her white feet and jet black shiny coat. She weighs about 85 lbs currently and will fill out more. Jemma's daddy is a Pinto Marema and her Mommy is a Great Pyr. They are both working flock guardians. Jemma through no fault of her own was placed without training with chickens and she had a few of the for lunch. No more guarding for Jemma Joy. Jemma was born in January of 2013, so she is a year and a half. She is pure LOVE and JOY. She would not be a good guard dog as she loves everyone that comes in the yard. Jemma is coming out of the chewing stage so fewer and fewer shoes are coming up missing and most hoses stay intact now. She is calmer now than in her puppy stage and is a JOY to be around. She does love to dig a hole to lay in outside when it is hot and then sleep in it at night...even though she has a bed in the house; she prefers outside where she can keep watch. She loves everyone; especially children but she is so large that a swipe from her tail could knock a small child over. She knows sit and move ahead as she likes to block your way to get loved on... She must go to puppy training to learn how to become an obedient and well behaved dog. She will pull in her enthuses and excitement when walking on a leash. She is a wonderful, smart, and obedient dog with a keen desire to please. She is extremely affectionate and craves affection more than treats! Praise to Jemma is like a pice of liver to another dog! Jemma needs a securely fenced yard and a playmate or three. Her desire to please her person is very strong. She must be treated like a member of the family and be an indoor / outdoor dog. A family with another playful dog would be preferred. Someone must be home most of the day or another dog to play with. She is just so sweet and loving....she deserves someone that has time to invest in her; soeone that is active and healthy. She is going to make a wonderful level headed and loyal dog. She is fully vetted including rabies shot but will need to be chipped. Please contact me with your questions about Jemma. l will send an application to you and give you my phone number. Again, Jemma cannot be a guardian dog; she is not safe with chickens or waterfowl.Jemmas new owner should be willing and able to spend time with her in training so that her puppy exuberance is contained and so that she is easy and enjoyable to live with . This is the same thing with any large breed puppy; without training they will use their size to control the situation which you do NOT want to happen. Jemma wants desperately to make her person happy so she is willing to learn...are you willing to teach? If so drop me a line. (Less)
