Macho- Macho is a white and red great pyr mix guy. He is a big guy who came to us a little thin from being so stressed out. Macho is a good boy. He just needs a home with a little patience. He got really stressed at the shelter and may take a bit of time adjusting to a new home. He is shy but a good boy. He really needs a home where he can be a loved family member but with out small kids. Macho came to us from a shelter who really does all they can for their pets. Macho was not doing well in the shelter environment and stressing out. They knew that keeping him there would be a death sentence for him and asked if we could help. He was ... (Read More)surrendered when his owners were moving and could not take him and they had had him around kids, dogs, and cats. When we took him he was pretty stressed out and we have given him a bit of time to adapt back to being a normal dog living in a home not in a run. He has become a different dog. Macho loves attention once he is used to you. He is a pretty aloof boy and likes his alone time as well. He would do great as an outside dog. Which is not normal for most of our pets. He prefers it to the hussle and bussle of being inside. He is a typical LSG and doesn't want a lot of affection or one on one time. He prefers to just hang out. He does well with other dogs but doesn't want to be in a home with a hyper puppy that will bounce all over him. He does good with people but doesn't want to be coddled or isn't an overly cuddly dog. He doesn't do well with small kids, but is a sweet guy and would love a home with a yard to protect. He has been around a few animals but we would watch him with poultry. He has seen livestock and done ok while supervised with them but would need training to be a LSG on a farm. Macho is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and altered. He is micro chipped and house broken. He does ok on leash but can pull if scared. He is crate trained but gets nervous in his crate and is happier outside if his family is not home. He is respectful of fences and is a laid back lazy guy. He hasn't shown any food allergies that we have seen and is a good boy. He is working on basic commands as when he came in he could be a bully and obedience is the best way to build communication with a new pet. Just like we ask our adopters to do, we do the same thing. He has been great around other dogs, and actually is more relaxed when he has a buddy. He is a great dog who needs a home of his own to love him and give him a job. (Less)
