Sophia is a fully vaccinated 2-year-old Great Pyrenees mix breed. She is mixed with German Shepard and Central Asian Shepard. Our family came across Sophia through another military family who had a litter of about 12 other puppies. They were giving the puppies to families who wanted them, and while we didn't need a big dog, we instantly fell in love with Sophia's lovable personality. She is tan colored with white and darker areas and has medium length hair. She is playful and loves playing with our other dog, a Boston Terrier, and two cats. She is also well behaved with my two children. She tends to act like a lap dog even though she is 59 ... (Read More)pounds! Even though she is a great dog we must let her go, for her sake. Our lifestyle and surrounding environment is always changing and she is need of something more stable. She is a very protective breed and this has proven difficult for us in a military environment where there are always new people and changes. She needs more attention than what we can provide so that she may feel safe and comforted. She is very fearful of things new to her. I am looking for a family who can provide this needed attention. She is kennel trained on a regular basis, walked on a gentle leash, and fed grain-free foods (currently Purina Beyond brand) due to stomach sensitivities. She doesn't know a whole lot of tricks or commands other than: sit, go lay down, and kennel. Great family dog but really needs some stability and less chaos. Thank you. (Less)
