Up for adoption: Flor. This stunning girl can be adopted in Texas. We think she may be a a Great Pyrenees / Lab mix who is about one year or so old and about 85lbs. Flor is very playful and loves other dogs. She will follow the lead of other dogs. She likes long walks in the nature preserve trails by my house. She is learning leash walking daily and has a very healthy appetite! She is a big, loveable baby that loves belly rubs. She has a very mild temperament and is a little unsure of strangers but follows the lead of the other dogs and accepts newcomers based on how the other dogs react. She would love to have a home with another dog or ... (Read More)dogs. She almost is more trainable via other dogs than by humans (if that makes sense). She likes tug-of-war and chase. She enjoys playing in the water, but hasn't shown a want to swim. She did fine at the dog park with multiple dogs. She does not beg for food. She is up to date on all shots. She is chipped and spayed--- micro-chipped too. Apply at www.luckylabrescue.com (Less)

Meg is a 5 month old mix. She is in the process of getting ready for adoption. She is a little shy but you can tell in her eyes she is starving for love and attention. She watches the other dogs thru the fence with excitement. She acts as if she would love to have new playmates. She is very sweet, still cautious and watches her surroundings with much curiosity. She has grown so much in confidence in the week that we have had her. Jo, Beth and Meg are sisters who were dumped with their mom on CR 489 (close to Tyler Pipe) Mom most likely a Pyrenees mix-possibly Shepard or husky. She is so thin, malnourished, fighting off parasites, and has ... (Read More)heartworms so she has hair loss. Possibly if she were in better shape it might be more clear to the moms breed. So her offspring is still in question. We feel like they will be a larger breed dog, possibly 55lbs at full growth. They have been on heir own for so long they are still a little shy when people come around. We have had them one week and they have come along very well learning to accept love and trust people. They have had their first set of puppy shots and will be getting spayed and the second set next week. Great Pyrenees    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Very Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Abused/Neglected

Lisa's owners were moving and they didn't want her anymore - good riddance! Lisa appears to be a full blooded Great Pyrenees. She is 1-1/2 years of age and a bit on the small side, weighing 60 pounds. Lisa is a sweet, gentle dog but is nervous about the recent change in her life. Her former family kept her in the back yard with little interaction - so she needs socialization and additional training to become the wonderful dog we know she can be. Lisa is scared/overwhelmed by new dogs until she gets to know them, and then she will play. She does best with gentle dogs, male dogs, or dogs that are smaller than her. Lisa is very protective of ... (Read More)her food bowl and we are working on that. Lisa loves people and children, and all the love and human attention she can get. She is a good guard dog and barks at all noises and movement outside of the fence. She is good in the house but hates to be crated. She likes her outdoor kennel. Lisa was never been groomed and we had to shave her coat and it will be beautiful when it grows out . Lisa must have a home where she is inside as a loved member of the family. She must also have a secure fenced yard to run and play.. Lisa is fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and is on heartworm and flea preventative. .LIsa has a $100 adoption fee. Please contact Marianne at 2 Many Dogs if you are interested in meeting this beautiful sweet girl . We do adopt out of state and dogs are shipped to the northeast via ground transport for a total cost of $400.00 (including adoption fee). Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Let me start off by saying that my family has a lot of great things to say about me, but I'll just hit the highlights %81S I'm a really great boy and whoever adopts me will thank their lucky stars to have such an awesome boy in their family. I have one request, I really would like another dog to play with (see below). I could go on and on, but you get the general idea - I'm quite the 'catch.' Oh yeah, and I'm housebroken. I know I look like a really large Brittany. Well I'm a Brittany Blend. We're thinking I'm blended with Great Pry (a calm breed) - such a wonderful combination. Since you really can't say that boys are 'adorable,' let's ... (Read More)leave it at: I am handsome! They say I'm the sweetest boy! I love to play ball, go for walks, and really love to play with other dogs at the dog park. That's why I want to have another dog in my home to play with and keep me company! And, people, of course - cuz I crave being petted, hugged and loved on. If you have kitties, no worries, I love them too. Chester has been neutered, is up to date on all his shots, heartworm negative and on preventative and is microchipped. He is ready for his forever home now. (Less)

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I'm giving the same info for all three beloved dogs (LT Bison, LT Bear, LT Smiley). Their owners' health and traveling issues prevented giving their pets the care and attention they deserved and, until recently, had enjoyed. It was really hard on the couple - especially the husband - to give up these doggies! They're pretty big dogs, each weighing 70-80 lbs. The boys are taller and heavier than their mama. Mama Smiley was originally listed as "a stray hound-type" that adopted the couple. After working with Smiley for a few weeks -- and looking in her mouth to see everything black except for her pink tongue -- I really think she is ... (Read More)a Black-mouth Cur! The boys' papa was most likely a Great Pyrenees because they have 'the look' plus a rather wiry coat. Until coming here to the farm and being with our other fostered dogs, they rarely barked. Bison and Bear are very close brothers. Before they learned 'doggish' behavior from the other dogs they were so quiet that I figured they would be perfect to train as service dogs. I still think so, although they'd need to be reminded of their former manners. That shouldn't take long, once they're in a new environment. Actually, they're comical characters! Very affectionate! Smiley was allowed to stay in the house more often both before she had the pups and during her recovery from being treated for heartworms. She is now quite healthy and, like her pups, affectionate. She's also housebroken -- at least, she was with her former owners. I cannot let her spend time in our house (Less)

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Look at those beautiful grey/blue eyes!! They will mesmerize. Say hello to Zelda, she is a year old heeler/lab/pyr mix. She is a shy girl but is confident and playful with other dogs. She shows her protective heeler personality when she barks at the other dogs for playing too rough. She needs some lead work but she does make it funny with a sit-walk thing she does. Very sweet girl. If you are interested in learning more about Zelda, contact Bark0089@gmail.com.

Rescue Me ID: 13-12-30-00593Lacey (female)

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed

Lacey is a 3 yr old Pyrenees mix. She is an extremely sweet and kind girl that is very gregarious and playful with all my other dogs. She is very submissive at this time. These dogs are slow to mature. She still acts like a puppy in spite of her size. She has the double dew claws of the Great Pyrenees and beautiful expressive brown eyes that are lined with eyeliner. I would guess her secondary breed as possible Australian Shepherd or Anatolian. Pictures really do not do her justice. Her coat will be easier to care for than a pure bred pyrenees but it is still thick and luxurious. She will need a large fenced yard. This is not a livestock ... (Read More)guardian dog, but a pet. This is an independent breed of dog that will need firm but gentle guidance but she has been an absolute joy and I think she will make a fantastic and loyal family member. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. Adoption application and home visit required. (Less)
