Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

COURTESY POSTING: Molly is a sweet and gentle girl. we believe she is a cross between a Great Pyranees and lab but she is more the size of a lab than a Pyranees. The first year of Molly's life was kinda rough. She was born in a field in South Dallas and lived with a group of 20+ dogs who all got along as one big family but were in desperate need of humans to rescue them. She was rescued from her rough existence by a nice lady who had been going out for some time to make sure they all had food and water and has learned that humans are 'the way to go'! She has been at her rescuer's home for about a year now and is ready for her furever ... (Read More)home. She loves human attention in the form of luvvies and hugs. She's a big, loveable baby today, but is still a little shy when meeting new people. She loves children and enjoys a walk, but doesn't really understand the concept of toys and playing. She is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and spayed. She is crate and house trained and on monthly heart worm prevention. Because of her shyness it may take her a while to adapt to her new environment, but given a bit of time and patience, she'll reward her new family with incredible affection and love. Her rescuer feels she would really enjoy the company of another dog to pal around with in her new home or one where her human is home to give her plenty of love and take her for nice long walks. If you feel Molly is just the kind of girl you are looking for you may contact her rescuer Betty at 469-360-9211. (Less)

JJ is 3-5 years old 70 pounds, completely house trained, very gentle and loving. Gets along with other dogs after being properly introduced and older kids. She is a little skittish around strangers but warms up when she gets to know you. Loves to go for walks, be brushed and just hang out at your feet if you're having a chill day. Will come and ask nicely for love. Is very patient and kind. Not an outgoing and super social dog, prefers to be with her people at home or on a walk. Probably wouldn't do well at the dog park. she's being fostered in Denton Texas near Ft Worth.

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I met Luke at the spay/neuter clinic when I took another load of critters to fix. One of the techs showed him to me and explained that he came from a ranch. They had to give him up because a smaller/timid dog was afraid of this gentle giant. So I agreed to take him and rehome him -- which hopefully will happen soon because Luke wants to adopt me! LOL We weighed him to get him fixed. 90 lbs He's on HW preventative, is house trained . . . and is a Houdini! Luke spent his first night here -- part of it, anyway -- in a long covered pen. He managed to get the gate open and met my husband at the back door at 0600 this morning! He parks himself ... (Read More)near the door of whichever room I'm in. I had to go on an errand, a few minutes ago. Nobody else was at home. I returned to find Luke on the front sidewalk, waiting for me. [sigh] That makes twice within his first 24 hrs here that he could have taken off for his former home. But he didn't. I really don't need another dog, folks! And, by the way, he's also friendly with these other dogs . . . AND my husband. P.S. I'm listing him as "Luke the Lover" because we have another Luke listed. (Less)

My husband and I found Jezebel, a Catahoula-Pyrenees mix, when she was a puppy. She had been dumped in a field. She is a loving girl, but due to her tendency to be dominant over other dogs, we are no longer able to keep her. We currently live with my husbands mother who has small dogs and she does not want Jezebel in the home. We have tried training, Cesar Milan videos, but despite all our efforts, she continues to display her dominance over the other dogs. We have to keep them separated, which only escalates the situation. She knows basic commands, is housebroken, and has a very playful demeanor. She has not had a lot of experience ... (Read More)walking on a leash and could use some work, but she is eager to learn and please. She is a very sweet girl who loves people, kids, and gets along well with cats. I am seeking help to find her a new forever home where she can be loved and have the freedom of being the only dog in the house. We've never had to re-home/surrender a pet before. We do not have an option to move out of our current living arrangements and there is not an option for her to continue to stay with us. Being separated and locked up is not the life we want for her. We want to find her a home where she can be happy. Check her out on YouTube https://youtu.be/QYcD9bcdAOg (Less)

Animal ID: 2015-0104 ChaseChase (male)

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

UPDATE: 7-2015 Let me start off by saying that my foster family has a lot of great things to say about me, but I'll just hit the highlights I love people, kids, cats and other dogs. And I'm housebroken. I'm a really great boy and whoever adopts me will thank their lucky stars to have such an awesome pup in their family. I have one request, I really would like another dog to play with - I'm still a youngster and love to play with dogs. I think that about does it '| I could go on and on (and on), but you get the general idea - I'm quite the 'catch.' -- Chase1I know, I look like a really really big Brittany (and I definitely am). ... (Read More)Besides, you really can't say that boys are 'adorable' so suffice it to say I am handsome! Well, here's the deal: I'm a Brittany Blend. We're thinking I'm blended with Great Pry. You will have to agree that I am incredibly handsome (and, yes, BIG). Update from Foster Mom: Chase is the sweetest boy. He's 75 pounds of puppy. He loves to play ball, go for walks, and really loves to play with other dogs at the dog park. He needs to be in a home with another dog because he's very playful and get lonely when he is back home and doesn't have another dog to play with. Chase loves to be loved on and will follow me around until I stop and hug and pet him. He's not wild about going into his kennel - he'd much rather snuggle with his people. We have cats and he's good with them. He is also great with kids, but needs to have older children (at least ten year of age) in his home simply because of his size. He doesn't realize how big he really is and could knock down a small child due to his largeness. Chase has been neutered, is up to date on all his shots, heartworm negative and on preventative and is microchipped. He is ready for his forever home now. If you are interested in adopting this Brittany, please fill out our Online Adoption Application. Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I'm giving the same info for all three beloved dogs (LT Bison, LT Bear, LT Smiley). Their owners' health and traveling issues prevented giving their pets the care and attention they deserved and, until recently, had enjoyed. It was really hard on the couple - especially the husband - to give up these doggies! They're pretty big dogs, each weighing 70-80 lbs. The boys are taller and heavier than their mama. Mama Smiley was originally listed as "a stray hound-type" that adopted the couple. After working with Smiley for a few weeks -- and looking in her mouth to see everything black except for her pink tongue -- I really think she is ... (Read More)a Black-mouth Cur! The boys' papa was most likely a Great Pyrenees because they have 'the look' plus a rather wiry coat. Until coming here to the farm and being with our other fostered dogs, they rarely barked. Bison and Bear are very close brothers. Before they learned 'doggish' behavior from the other dogs they were so quiet that I figured they would be perfect to train as service dogs. I still think so, although they'd need to be reminded of their former manners. That shouldn't take long, once they're in a new environment. Actually, they're comical characters! Very affectionate! Smiley was allowed to stay in the house more often both before she had the pups and during her recovery from being treated for heartworms. She is now quite healthy and, like her pups, affectionate. She's also housebroken -- at least, she was with her former owners. I cannot let her spend time in our house (Less)

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed

Lacey is a 2 yr old Pyrenees mix. She is an extremely sweet and kind girl that is very gregarious and playful with all my other dogs. She is very submissive at this time. These dogs are slow to mature. She still acts like a puppy in spite of her size. She has the double dew claws of the Great Pyrenees and beautiful expressive brown eyes that are lined with eyeliner. I would guess her secondary breed as possible Australian Shepherd or Anatolian. Pictures really do not do her justice. Her coat will be easier to care for than a pure bred pyrenees but it is still thick and luxurious. She will need a large fenced yard. This is not a livestock ... (Read More)guardian dog, but a pet. This is an independent breed of dog that will need firm but gentle guidance but she has been an absolute joy and I think she will make a fantastic and loyal family member. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. Adoption application and home visit required. (Less)
