    Hi I'm Roudy. I am looking for a forever home. I was adopted and then because I was smart enough to get out of the gate, the family decided to surrender me. However I had left the yard before this took place and I was brought back to Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue by the Carrollton Animal Control when I was hit by a car. The rescue sent me for surgery to save my leg, but the vet said that perhaps I had been injured before, and not treated so my leg was not able to be saved. They are still looking after me.     Great Pyrenees Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Pyrenees is a huge, fluffy herding dog. Independent and protective, the Great Pyrenees is devoted to its family and somewhat stubborn. Great Pyrenees need to be socialized with children as puppies. This breed is an imposing guardian but is gentle unless threatened or provoked. Great Pyrenees need large yards and are best suited to cold climates. Great Pyrenees are affectionate toward non-canine pets, especially cats!
