Rescue Me ID: 16-10-26-00274Ranger (male)
Ranger is a sweet 1 1/2 yr old Great Pyrenees/ St Bernard mix. He loves kids. He is good with cats. He is good with other dogs after a slow introduction that may take a few days but then he's best buds with them. He was curled up in a ball in the corner of a kennel in a high kill animal control when we found him. He has come along way and is turning into a very good boy. He is very easy to train and just wants to please you. He is currently located in Gallatin Tennessee but for the riight home transportation can be arranged. |Rescue Me ID: 16-10-25-00313Socks and Macy (female)|
They are sisters and have been together since birth. We went to adopt only one at the shelter and couldn't leave the other so we adopted them both. We recently have moved from a country setting where they had plenty of room to roam, run, and be free to a new home inside city limits where they are kept in our backyard which is a very small fenced in area. We just do not have the space for them to be happy animals anymore. We have two sons and they are amazing with them. Our 3 year old is constantly pulling on their tails, ears, and such and all they do is lick and get still get excited every time he steps out the back door. We also have a small dog and they are wonderful with her. She barks and growls at them all the time and they have never growled back. in our old house they were always around other neighborhood dogs and never once had a problem they would run and play. They do bark when anyone or anything comes into the yard that they do not see on a daily basis. These girls are some of the sweetest dogs that I have ever had the pleasure to own and we hate to have to find them a new home but we do think it would be best for them and for us. They are always happy and always happy to see you. They have never been aggressive to any strangers, kids, adults, or other animals. Socks has more of the Great Pyrenees in her than Macy who is built more like a lab. Socks is the one with white feet and a white chest. Macy is a little smaller with just a little bit of white on her chest. We were hoping they could stay together but completely understand that that may not be an option. We just want to make sure that they find a good home with people who will love them like we have!! (Less)

Animal ID: LOVEDDuke (male)
Duke is a 2 1/2 year old male Great Pyrenees. We have had him since he was 8 weeks old. He is extremely intelligent and very loving. He lives inside and is housebroken. We would like for Duke to find a loving home where he can live inside and be the only dog. We have 3 Saint Bernards, another Great Pyrenees, 4 cats and a Macaw Parrot (a zoo indeed)! Although Duke and our male Saint Bernard are both neutered, they despise one another. We recently spent $600 for Duke's wound care after a bad fight. This is an extremely difficult decision because Duke is a big part of our family but for his safety as well as that of our other dogs, we are hoping to find him a loving home. His new owner must have references (including a vet) and a fenced yard. Although Duke gets along with our female dogs, we would prefer that he go to a home with no other dogs to ensure that there are no issues with dominance. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-09-00130Rex (male)
Rex is a Great Pyrenees/Airedale mix, male, 7 months old, fulled vetted, and looking for his perfect home! He will likely weigh 70, or more, pounds when fully grown. He is 95% house trained, does well with other dogs and with children but probably shouldn't be around chickens as he thinks it's great fun to chase them. Rex does well on a leash and is learning to go off leash, on the property of his foster family. He is sweet and playful, a very pleasant fellow! We have an application process to insure that Rex is a good fit for your family. Please let us know if you'd like to meet this handsome lad!

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-17-00560Gracie (female)
Gracie is a wonderful dog but needs to be re-homed because she presently lives with a 12 year old female German Shepherd and the two are getting into increasingly frequently and violent fights resulting in my dad getting bit and needing stitches while breaking up the most recent fight. (The bites were not from her). Gracie is simply a love bug who adores people and cuddling and gets along great with my two male dogs.

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-06-00409Luna (female)
She is a super sweet 7 month old Pyrador. She just needs a fenced in yard to get all of her energy out. She loves everyone but doesn't realize how big she is so prob. Not a good fit right now with really small kids. She just needs a lot of play time and I am gone a lot and that just not fair to her.

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-24-00455 (male)
This wonderful dog was found in my neighborhood, emaciated, otherwise in good health. My vet cleared him of heart worms and intestinal worms, thinks the dog was starved and then abandoned as his fur and body did not show signs of wandering outdoors for very long. He is on medication and eating well and has already gained weight! Needs loving home.

Great Pyrenees Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Pyrenees is a huge, fluffy herding dog. Independent and protective, the Great Pyrenees is devoted to its family and somewhat stubborn. Great Pyrenees need to be socialized with children as puppies. This breed is an imposing guardian but is gentle unless threatened or provoked. Great Pyrenees need large yards and are best suited to cold climates. Great Pyrenees are affectionate toward non-canine pets, especially cats!
