Rescue Me ID: 17-07-12-00410Bandit (male)
He's a love but has never had anything of his own. He has no food aggression & shares with everyone but has bit to protect a treat so no kids. Attentive adult cuddle buddys only, please. Bandit is softer than a bunny. He's learning not to jump up on people and how to sit on command. Leash walking is going well. He's used to being tethered and puts up no protest but destroys crates and has an extreme fear of cages. He will receive treatment for his heartworms before he can leave here. Approved adopter will receive a 6 month supply of HW preventative. Please call or message with questions or for an application.

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-25-00417Abbie (female)
Abbie is a 3 year old Boxer/Great Pyrenees mix that is looking for her forever home. She is super sweet and loving. She came in to the rescue after just giving birth to 6 puppies. She wasn't able to feed the little after just a few days so the puppies had to be taken away and bottle fed. She was such a good mom that it was really hard to see her missing them. It appears that this was one of many litters that this big girl has had in her short life. I'm not sure that she has been abused but I don't think she has been cared for either and suspect that she may have spent a lot of time outside in a kennel. She is now an inside girl and loving every minute of it. She is crate and house trained. Abbie just graduated from the 'New Leash on Life' program where she spent time being trained the basic commands. She did great with all her training except leash and she is a puller at times. She will also sit and shake hands. She is not good with cats so it's best if she has a home without them. Adoption Fee $150.00 (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-25-00151Dakota (male)
Dakota is a very sweet and very large Great Pyrenees/Lab mix. He is over 100 pounds and still growing! His approximate birthday is around the beginning of May 2016. He came from a local shelter last July after he was left behind when his 2 siblings were adopted. He has a great loving and loyal personality. He loves the kiddie pool so I think he would really enjoy swimming in a pond or creek. He is house and kennel trained. He does great with other dogs though may be intimidating to some due to his size. He is already neutered, utd on his shots and on heartworm preventatives. Adoption process includes filling out an application, a vet reference, possible home visit and signing a contract. Fee is $250. For more info email us at email@example.com. We put a lot of time and love into our fosters and our #1 concern is that they go to good forever homes that are perfect for each dog. (Less)

Animal ID: 0047Roqui (male)
MEET ROQUI This beyond adorable boy is a 1 year old black and tan German Shepherd mix that came to us from the Downey Shelter in CA. This guy is tall, lanky and lean and a ton of fun. Those ears give Roqui quite the unique look and we think it is adorable. Roqui gets along well with other dogs and just loves to play. We believe he would do well going to Doggy Day Care or a dog park because he hangs out with anywhere from 3-5 other dogs here at the rescue. He would do better with dogs that are closer to his size than with smaller dogs because as a young boy, his play style is rough and tumble. This youngster loves toys and bones but doesn't like to share his bone. He will run, chase, wrestle and play tug with others. When he stands still for a minute, Roqui likes ear rubs and attention from his humans. Roqui would do well with a family that is active and looking for a companion who likes to hike, run and play. Roqui needs some work on his manners as he does jump up and is a bit mouthy, sometimes wanting to play by holding your hand in his mouth,n nothing a stable environment, time, attention and the proper training won't fix. We are working on manners to help him become the wonderful pup we know is there. Because of his lack of manners, young age and size, we would recommend a family with older children. A family that adopts him will be required to attend training classes for both his and their benefit. Roqui is UTD, microchipped, HW-, on flea/tick/HW preventative and neutered. Adoption Fee $350 If you are interested in adopting Roqui or any of the other JLGSR dogs, get the process started by filling out the online application at www.jettslegacy.com/adoption-application.html Note:. You must have an approved application on file prior to setting up a meet and greet. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-09-02-00215Bella (female)
My name is Bella. I am a 4 year old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. I am a sweet girl that loves attention from everyone. I have lived outside until I was taken in by Cliffords Army. I am doing fantastic on this housetraining thing. I am looking for an indoor home only. I am not the herding type. I love playing in the water and playing outside but would love to find a home where I can be inside and close to my new family. I would do best as the only dog as I crave all the attention and do not want to share my food, toys, or humans with other dogs. If you would like to consider adopting me, and let me show you all the love in the world, please fill out the attached on-line application. http://cliffordsarmy.pandaform.com/pub/xwtpyr/new (Less)

Great Pyrenees Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Pyrenees is a huge, fluffy herding dog. Independent and protective, the Great Pyrenees is devoted to its family and somewhat stubborn. Great Pyrenees need to be socialized with children as puppies. This breed is an imposing guardian but is gentle unless threatened or provoked. Great Pyrenees need large yards and are best suited to cold climates. Great Pyrenees are affectionate toward non-canine pets, especially cats!
