Great Pyrenees    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

I'm Atlas! I'm a swimmer, a runner, a guard dog. I'm always up for a hike or a car ride. Good on a leash. I would go after a cat or a bird though. I need good fencing. However, when I've gotten out I've met all kinds of people and cows. They have been happy to find me friendly. I bark a lot, and am getting my owner in trouble with the neighbors. I don't listen to her very well, unless she has treats. I got snippy with her before too. I had a hot spot but it's better now. She has a big fenced in yard, but I need a farm. I need to bark and run! I am 4 yrs. old, AKC, fixed, 105 lbs., up to date on rabies vaccination and heartworm preventative.

Rescue Me ID: 18-03-07-00303George (male)

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Our sweet boy George is the laziest and happiest dog around. Unfortunately, we are finding he is not too crazy about our 14 month old daughter. With another baby the way, we've come to the heartbreaking decision we need to re-home him. :( We adopted him from a bad situation 3 years ago. He had severe skin issues and was heart worm positive. He is now heart worm free for several years! We mention this because I think some vets want to retest every few years. George is also hypothyriod so he has to take a small pill with breakfast and dinner or else he is very lethargic and will gain weight. They are not expensive, probably $20/month. And ... (Read More)we are happy to provide several months supply of his meds. He is obviously not good with children from what we're finding. He is also in a home that has a doggie door and spend 80% of his time outside so someone that can give him access to roam whenever he pleases is a must. If he had any say, he would probably choose a farm to go live on! :) Seriously inquires only! George is our baby and we will not adopt him out to just anyone. Animal ID: 0047Roqui (male)

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

MEET ROQUI This beyond adorable boy is a 1 and 1/2 year old black and tan German Shepherd mix that came to us from the Downey Shelter in CA. This guy is tall, lanky and lean and a ton of fun. Those ears give Roqui quite the unique look and we think it is adorable. Roqui gets along with other dogs with slow and proper introduction but can be rather dominant which, due to his size this can intimidate other dogs. This youngster loves toys and bones but doesn't like to share his bone. When he stands still for a minute, Roqui likes ear rubs and attention from his humans. He would do well with a family that is active and looking for a ... (Read More)companion who likes to hike, run and play. This big, goofball has learned basic commands, is housebroke and does well on a leash. He can be mouthy and needs continued work on his manners. Roqui is smart and will challenge his people by pushing the limits. He needs a home that will continue to work with him and provide him with regular exercise and a good routine. Roqui does NOT do well with young children and therefore will need to go to a home that has teenagers or no children. Any family that adopts him will be required to attend training classes for both his and their benefit. Roqui is UTD, microchipped, HW-, on flea/tick/HW preventative and neutered. Adoption Fee $350 If you are interested in adopting Roqui or any of the other JLGSR dogs, get the process started by filling out the online application at Note:. You must have an approved application on file prior to setting up a meet and greet. (Less)

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My name is Bella. I am a 4 year old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. I am a sweet girl that loves attention from everyone. I have lived outside until I was taken in by Cliffords Army. I am doing fantastic on this housetraining thing. I am looking for an indoor home only. I am not the herding type. I love playing in the water and playing outside but would love to find a home where I can be inside and close to my new family. I would do best as the only dog as I crave all the attention and do not want to share my food, toys, or humans with other dogs. If you would like to consider adopting me, and let me show you all the love in the ... (Read More)world, please fill out the attached on-line application. (Less)
