Rescue Me ID: 17-09-09-00325Lexi (female)
This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Rescue group prefers or very savvy adopter. Lexi was turned in by her owner to animal control to euthanize her because she was heartworm positive. They couldn't put her down . Instead they treated her for heartworm. and now she is ready to go to a home where she is the one and only dog Lexi is 136 pounds, 7 years old. She is great with kids, very gentle and watchful over her people. She is not good with other dogs who she sees as threats to her family. Lexi needs an experienced Anatolian shepherd or Great Pyrenees owner who understands the behavior of these big, loving , protective dogs. We can transport this beauty to an approved breed- savvy home. (Less)

Animal ID: Available SoonLuna (female)
Hello, this is Luna. Luna was an owner surrender, she was kept on a chain ever since she was 10 weeks old, until she was surrendered to us because her previous owners children got tired of her once the new wore off, that wasn't Luna's or the Children's fault, it was the adults in that situation at fault. She was deprived of attention her whole life and now that she's with us she has made a complete 360. Luna was 15 pounds under weight and full of fleas and ticks when she was first rescued. She is now back to health but we are still working on training. She does amazing with children, other dogs big and small. She's been around cats and shows interest but no aggression. She's working on house training, we're having less and less accidents. She is crated if we are going to be out for more than 2 hours. Luna will be best suited in a home with children or an active couple with a fenced in backyard. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-08-09-00218Duncan (male)
Duncan was a stray puppy that has lived with the same family since he wandered onto our door step. As animal lovers, we decided to take him in and try to find him a home. Our efforts in the beginning were unsuccessful and 6 years later he is still part of the family. Duncan is a large breed of dog and it has been exceptionally hard for us to give him adequate space in and out doors. He is loving and sweet but has always seemed extremely timid, fearful and anxious. This makes it extremely hard to make him a full functioning family member. Ideally he needs outdoor space and an owner that can dedicate much patience to create a calming environment. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-25-00151Dakota (male)
Dakota is a very sweet and very large Great Pyrenees/Lab mix. He is over 100 pounds and still growing! His approximate birthday is around the beginning of May 2016. He came from a local shelter last July after he was left behind when his 2 siblings were adopted. He has a great loving and loyal personality. He loves the kiddie pool so I think he would really enjoy swimming in a pond or creek. He is house and kennel trained. He does great with other dogs though may be intimidating to some due to his size. He is already neutered, utd on his shots and on heartworm preventatives. Adoption process includes filling out an application, a vet reference, possible home visit and signing a contract. Fee is $250. For more info email us at email@example.com. We put a lot of time and love into our fosters and our #1 concern is that they go to good forever homes that are perfect for each dog. (Less)

Animal ID: 0047Roqui (male)
MEET ROQUI This beyond adorable boy is a 1 year old black and tan German Shepherd mix that came to us from the Downey Shelter in CA. This guy is tall, lanky and lean and a ton of fun. Those ears give Roqui quite the unique look and we think it is adorable. Roqui gets along well with other dogs and just loves to play. We believe he would do well going to Doggy Day Care or a dog park because he hangs out with anywhere from 3-5 other dogs here at the rescue. He would do better with dogs that are closer to his size than with smaller dogs because as a young boy, his play style is rough and tumble. This youngster loves toys and bones but doesn't like to share his bone. He will run, chase, wrestle and play tug with others. When he stands still for a minute, Roqui likes ear rubs and attention from his humans. Roqui would do well with a family that is active and looking for a companion who likes to hike, run and play. Roqui needs some work on his manners as he does jump up and is a bit mouthy, sometimes wanting to play by holding your hand in his mouth,n nothing a stable environment, time, attention and the proper training won't fix. We are working on manners to help him become the wonderful pup we know is there. Because of his lack of manners, young age and size, we would recommend a family with older children. A family that adopts him will be required to attend training classes for both his and their benefit. Roqui is UTD, microchipped, HW-, on flea/tick/HW preventative and neutered. Adoption Fee $350 If you are interested in adopting Roqui or any of the other JLGSR dogs, get the process started by filling out the online application at www.jettslegacy.com/adoption-application.html Note:. You must have an approved application on file prior to setting up a meet and greet. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-09-02-00215Bella (female)
My name is Bella. I am a 4 year old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. I am a sweet girl that loves attention from everyone. I have lived outside until I was taken in by Cliffords Army. I am doing fantastic on this housetraining thing. I am looking for an indoor home only. I am not the herding type. I love playing in the water and playing outside but would love to find a home where I can be inside and close to my new family. I would do best as the only dog as I crave all the attention and do not want to share my food, toys, or humans with other dogs. If you would like to consider adopting me, and let me show you all the love in the world, please fill out the attached on-line application. http://cliffordsarmy.pandaform.com/pub/xwtpyr/new (Less)
