|Rescue Me ID: 17-07-04-00072Yeta & Squatch (female)|
I actually have two dogs I would like to rehome together. They are brother and sister (Sasquatch and Yeta). They are predominately Great Pyrenees with Anatolian and Komondor. Mom was 3/4 Pyr 1/4 Komondor, Dad was 3/4/ Pyr 1/4 Anatolian. Just a little over 5 years old and neutered and spayed. They need vaccinations, and are not UTD on vaccinations. These two are farm dogs through and through. They have never been potty trained and have lived outside on our 20 acres (with dog shed/house) since they were pups. They are fantastic with cats, horses and chickens (poultry) and have never harmed any other animals (except predators). They absolutely adore human attention and have never acted or been aggressive towards anyone. The only reason I want to rehome them is because I cannot keep them on the property and they get out and wander all over the countryside and neighboring land. I'm afraid they are going to get hurt. They both stay completely filthy due to their wandering. Squatch is the worst to keep clean because the Komondor is really prevalent in him and his hair tends to mat easily. I try to keep him shaved most of the time. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-06-28-00591Winnie (female)|
Winnie is a 5 month old a little white Great Pyrenees mix who though loving, intelligent and friendly does exhibit some of the more stubborn and dominant characteristics of her breed. Winnie will be the perfect puppy for an owner she respects who can give her the boundaries and discipline she needs (both of which are skills I've tried to fake but do not convincingly possess). It has become clear that as much as I wish I could be, I am not the right person for her and she needs a more experienced, assertive owner to keep her guarding instincts appropriately channeled. She is my girl and I committed to giving her the best life possible, even if that now means it's not with me. She is ~30 lbs now and should be around 60 lbs when full grown. Though she has the personality and coloring of a Pyrenees, her coat is short so shedding is pretty minimal. She is fully vaccinated (including canine influenza), spayed, socialized (she attended doggy daycare starting at 10 weeks), and is on monthly heartworm and tick & flea medication. She recently completed a 5 week boarding obedience course and is extremely well trained and great with commands including sit, stay, heel, come, lay down and kennel. She sleeps through the night most nights in her kennel, however I do let her crawl in bed with me in the mornings. She is very smart and is very aware of her people's emotions. She loves being praised and getting treats, and if she's not walking around the house beside me she's running around the yard alongside Cooper like velcro. She is about 70% potty trained with occasional piddle accidents. Winnie has a guarding issue with rawhides that has led to aggressive behavior so bones should be off-limits. She is very affectionate and LOVES her brother Cooper as well as her little 12 week old lab cousin. If she could be side-by-side with Cooper touching him at all times she would (whether he likes it or not), so she would do well in a home with other dogs (however households with 2 Pyrenees of the same sex are not recommended per breed standards and will not be considered for Winnie's safety as she is on the small side). If you would like to inquire about making Winnie a part of your family, please contact me. Priority will be given to applicants with prior Pyrenees or other dominant breed experience. Willing to waive the adoption donation and drive as far as necessary for the right fit. (Less)

Bear and also a Sheperd mix are currently locked up in Jame's duplex. He will be evicted soon. There are no family members able to take animals due to various reasons. |Rescue Me ID: 16-09-12-00588Maya (female)|
Maya is a 2 year old Akita / Great Pyrenees mix who is looking for a best friend and companion. She is a bit weary with new people but if you spend some time with her and show her there is nothing to fear, she will be your best pal. Maya enjoys to play with her toys! She loves to run after tennis balls and if they squeak that makes her very happy! She's a smart girl who knows lots of skills, such as leave it, sit and shake. Maya would do best in a home that has lots of time to give her as she's an active girl who will need lots of mental stimulation. She's about 50-60 lbs and is potty trained. Maya is interested in dogs & a dog with great manners will help her out. A calm home would be best for Maya as she startles easily. She is very sweet & wants to learn about how great the world can be! We suggest no young children. Interested? Please visit http://bit.ly/1m78fU5 to complete our quick online adoption application from your computer or desktop (not a phone). Maya's adoption fee is $175 & includes: Spay, vaccines, microchip, deworming, heartworm test, a wellness exam, a fecal test, & an offer of pet healthcare insurance for 30-days from adoption date. Thank you! (Less)

Great Pyrenees Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Pyrenees is a huge, fluffy herding dog. Independent and protective, the Great Pyrenees is devoted to its family and somewhat stubborn. Great Pyrenees need to be socialized with children as puppies. This breed is an imposing guardian but is gentle unless threatened or provoked. Great Pyrenees need large yards and are best suited to cold climates. Great Pyrenees are affectionate toward non-canine pets, especially cats!
