We rescued Angel when she was 2 years old. She was not being abused (that we are aware of), but she was being neglected and her living conditions were not what a dog of her breed (or any dog for that matter) should have been. We took her into our home with 2 other small dogs, a cat, and our young daughter. She immediately took to our family as if she had always been there. Angel has always shown that she is protective of our home and our daughter. She has a wonderful personality and has earned the right to be called a 'gentle giant'. In 2013, we had a baby and Angel immediately decided it was 'her baby'. She plays as if she is a small ... (Read More)puppy. When we get home from work, she enjoys jumping up and putting her paws on my husband's shoulders for a welcome hug! She has at times caught visitors off guard with her giant hugs, but means no harm, she is simply excited to see you! She loves to wrestle with daddy and her girls and is so gentle with the baby. Angel enjoys digging and jumping on the trampoline. She has never had any health issues or injuries in the time that we have had her. We are seeking a new forever home for Angel because we are moving to a new community and she will not have the room that she has now. Angel is outside on a lead for the day while we are working, but has lots of room to move around. She is let off of her lead in our fenced in backyard when we are home and outside to watch her. During bad weather, or when we are home during the evening and night, Angel is indoors. She is completely house broken and has never had an 'accident' in the 7 years that she has been with us. She knows how to walk on a leash, although with her size (combined with her excitement of being on a walk) she sometimes ends up walking us instead of us walking her. This usually calms down within just a few minutes and will walk very leisurely with the rest of the family. We would love for Angel to go to a family with children and a place where she has room to get exercise and plenty of love. (Less)
