Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I am fostering Sally, she is good with dogs, kids and humans. Very friendly, on the small side of St. Bernard. I am 80 years old and cannot afford the cost of feeding 3 dogs on a limited budget. Would love to see her go to a home with children who would play with her. Her owner sadly has moved into an apartment and is not able to take her back. She has a very sweet personality and loves to play and run. She is also very smart and learns quickly. Please share, transportation to a reasonable distant can be arranged.

Unfortunately she was food aggressive with humans and with other dogs (Continue reading :) This is not an unusual behavior for young puppies that have been starved and have always had to fight for food. However, her adoptive family had two small children and her behavior was dangerous. She is also and alpha personality so she needed a very firm, consistent hand for training. She was surrendered back to the shelter and ... (Read More)placed into an experienced foster home. Casey has learned to eat with another dog and cat...she will wait her turn and only eat when told to...She has learned to sit and is very social with dogs and people. Sadly, due to a death in the family, the foster home is losing their home due to foreclosure. They will not be able to bring Casey to an apartment due to her energy level. The foster home had a 10 year old boy and Casey was his best-friend The foster has not seen any food or toy aggression for months. Casey is active and needs a very active home She does not do well with crating and will do best with someone home all day. She needs to continue her training as she will chew if left home alone. With all of the negative said let me tell you about the positive....she is a happy, sweet beautiful dog. She does well now with older children, is social with other dogs, and LOVES to be with people. She will be a wonderful companion to an experienced dog owner that is willing to invest time in training. Her adoption includes one (1) private in-home 1.5 hour training session. Since Casey has lost her home 3 times, we will be very strict on her placement. Casey is spayed, up t date on shots, chipped, HW- on HW preventative, dewormed and Frontline. Her adoption fee is $295 and includes spay, up-to-date on shots, fecal, deworming, frontline, 1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, micro-chipping and 30 days of shelter care insurance.
