Rescue Me ID: 16-11-15-00378Harvey (male)

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This adorable young energetic man is a loving male Great Pyrenees / Lab mix. He is neutered, up to date of vaccinations, and heartworm preventative. We also have flea/tick medicine that will get him through 9/24/2017. We are only placing him due to us unfortunately losing his partner in crime. It would be better for him to have another playmate. He will need to go somewhere that has lots of room for him to run and have fun. He gets along great with everyone he has met, including other dogs, and even cats.

Animal ID: 16-09-29-00550Bella (female)

Great Pyrenees    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This sweet stunning girl is Bella. We guesstimate her to be between 2-3 yrs. She arrived as a stray a little more than a year ago. She is vetted, UTD on vaccinations, spayed, micro-chipped, and hw neg. Her personality is fun-loving and sensitive. She has gone from being broken, unsure, and aloof as a pup to a graceful, confident, outspoken, and snarky young adult. She enjoys the safety of her fenced yard for lounging, chasing squirrels, barking at the neighbors, and playing with her humans or other canine companions. Although Bella will happily spend all or most of the day outside, she prefers to be indoors with her family at night. If there ... (Read More)is a thunderstorm brewing, you can expect her to be wrapped around your throat. (just kidding) Thunder and lightning do terrify her. Having been on her own for a considerable time period as a pup, she spent many nights without proper shelter....in short, no shelter, no one to comfort her and allay her fears or re-assure her that she was safe. She doesn't freak-out or over-react, but it's easy to see that she's bothered by them. Providing a little extra snuggle time and comfort helps put her at ease. As much as she relishes lounging outside during the day when its not too hot, she prefers being inside with her family at night. Indoors, she's happy to grab some space on the couch or a cool floor if she's hot, but, ultimately, she prefers your bed. I suspect she would be happy just sharing the bedroom to be close. This is the one major thing I cannot provide. We have a dog that already claimed our bedroom before Bella arrived, and she's jealous. My family and I love this girl so very much, but keeping her was never part of the plan. She deserves to have a family to call her own, where she will be welcomed with open arms, loved unconditionally, and included as a regular family member. She will do well with another dog. It is our hope that she go to a home experienced with the breed or to a family looking for a second Pyr. However, she seems to get along with all dogs so far. If you are interested, please contact me to set up a meet and greet. It is important that Bella meet all members of your family, including other pets before you adopt her. This helps to avoid possible negative situations down the road. Photo ID, home check, vet reference,(1) personal reference, and the small re-homing fee. Also, I would like you to agree in writing that you will return her to me if the adoption does not work out or you change your mind for ANY reason. **A fenced yard is preferred. (Less)
