Barkley is now a part of our rescue although he is still in boarding as we have no foster homes available at this time, everyone loves him at the practice, he is very calm and loving and clean in his kennel. He loves to go for car rides and walks great on leash. He currently weighs 70 lbs and is putting on weight as he came into the shelter very underweight. He is also great with children.     Great Pyrenees Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Pyrenees is a huge, fluffy herding dog. Independent and protective, the Great Pyrenees is devoted to its family and somewhat stubborn. Great Pyrenees need to be socialized with children as puppies. This breed is an imposing guardian but is gentle unless threatened or provoked. Great Pyrenees need large yards and are best suited to cold climates. Great Pyrenees are affectionate toward non-canine pets, especially cats!
