Rescue Me ID: 16-04-18-00125Marcel (male)

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Abused/Neglected, Fearful/Anxious

Marcel is a stray dog I have had in my home since last July. He is up to date on all shots and neutered. He is most likely a mix of Great Pyrenees, St Bernard, and Anatolian Shepard. He is around 2 - 2.5 years of age. I love him but he is not happy in my home. I work 50 hours a week and do not have a fenced in yard. I compensate for that with long walks or going to a dog park. He has become bored here and needs a farm or a house with a big back yard that has the utmost secure fence for a large breed. He knows how to unlock a door handle in my house and escape. Because of that recent trick I have been forcing him to crate while I am at ... (Read More)work. He has broken three crates. The third he broke today was reinforced him padlocks, carabiners, and steal links. I believe he is claustrophobic and that is why he refuses to crate. I can go into more detail with anyone interested in him. He is a really good dog who is normally very laid back and a gentle giant. He knows all the basic commands like sit, stay, shake, other hand shake, down, and come. It is not an easy decision to post him for adoption, but it has become clear that this is not the right house for him after trying a vast multitude of things. I believe the right environment like a farm or house with a dog door and well secured fence would take away all of his issues and he would go back to being the good dog he was. (Less)

Greetings I say! This is Lady Shags. I have just been welcomed into the world of Rescue. I was taken in at a Shelter and my people never came to get me. People would call me short and stocky. I'm young, maybe 1-2 years old and am a small Great Pyrenees/ Terrier mix.I weigh approximately 35-40 pounds. I'm up to date on my shots, heart worm negative, and will be spayed as soon as possible. My foster mom says i'm the most playful pup in the house with a sweet personality and lots of energy to run and play, then I like to snuggle up on the couch. I am crate trained, though I prefer a couch or bed. I am 80% house trained, and i'm working on my ... (Read More)leash manners. I love everyone I meet, though I have not been around small children or cats, I play well with the other dogs my size. So If you are looking for that one of a kind girl, i'm her!
