Rescue Me ID: 14-11-30-00215Kali (female)

Great Pyrenees    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Kali is a purebred great pyrenees that just turned 2. She is up to date on all shots and is not spayed. She tried to get out of her kennel one night and has a laceration to her left leg tag we have taken her to the vet for where she received antibiotics and sutures however the stitches did not stay(dr said they probably wouldn't due to the size of the laceration) I hate to find her a new home but we moved from Oklahoma where she had land to a home in Arkansas that barely has a back yard and that is not fair to her. She is a very sweet and loyal dog that loves people, she gets very excited and is like a bull in a china cabinet when inside ... (Read More)and could use some training first this. She is very intelligent as she learned to sit, shake with both hands, lay down, and rollover all in a matter of a few hours. She does get somewhat dominant at first but warms up fairly quickly. Please contact me if you have a loving home with fenced land for her to run so she won't run away. She is my baby and I will be somewhat selective. (Less)

We love Elsa but we have found that she is dominant with our other dog and this has caused great distress for the whole family. ELsa is very protective of her family!!! Her yard!!!! Her toys!!!! Her food!!!! We are pastors of a church and we are concerned that she would not want others to enter our home.

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-22-00229Cooper and Hank, bros (male)

Great Pyrenees Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Cooper and his brother Hank, 2 years old, littermates. Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. Very good dogs and good watch dogs. Have always been kept as pets, with an older male Labrador whom they got along with great. Recently gave both of them to a family that raises sheep, Cooper has done fine with the sheep but Hank has been untrustworthy with the lambs, so those people are looking to rehome them, and like myself, would prefer to be able to keep them together if possible as they are very close. Good with adults, kids, dogs, cats, *maybe* larger livestock but probably not smaller livestock like sheep or goats. Very good to keep ... (Read More)coyotes and copperheads away. (Less)
