Great Pyrenees    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Vaccinations Current

Kodi is a purebred Great Pyrenees born on August 22, 2014. He is neutered and current on all vaccinations. He is microchipped. He has been raised around 2 companion dogs and a housecat. He loves our shepherd and is tolerant of our elderly small dog. (Early on, they had scraps that seemed to have been Kodi establishing dominance.) He is fine with our cat. He is okay with our 2 ten year old boys. Kodi is extremely motivated by food and can be aggressive toward the children when food is involved. He has never bitten anyone, but he has growled. Kodi loves to be outside unless it is hot. When outside, he does have the Pyrenees ... (Read More)tendency to bark often and loudly. We are seeking to re-home Kodi because we are having trouble meeting all the needs of our animals. Kodi will be an amazing companion for someone who has the time and space needed for a 118 lb. dog who is genetically disposed to have an independent streak; who wants to guard and protect; and who possesses an 'alpha' nature. We do not take this action lightly and will be very vigilant in finding a truly suitable placement. (Less)
